Joint ASRM/IFFS meeting in Boston, USA
A conjoint meeting of ASRM (American Society for Reproductive Medicine) and IFFS (the International Federation of Fertility Societies) was held in Boston (USA) from October 12-17. The main topic of the congress was “Transforming Reproductive Medicine Worldwide”. The congress turned out to be a big success and was attended by almost 11 000 participants. On Tuesday October 15th, a trilogy meeting took place with “ART in the developing world” as main topic. During this session Willem Ombelet presented the Walking Egg project, Korula George (Bangalore, India) gave a lecture on “Cost effective protocol in IVF” and last but not least Jonathan Van Blerkom (University of Colorado, USA) presented our new simplified IVF system specifically designed for low settings in the developing world. This excellent session was followed by a very lively and interesting discussion.
