The Walking Egg on Wheels Symposium

A successful meeting was held at LABIOMISTA in Genk to celebrate the birth of the first babies conceived using our simplified IVF system in a mobile unit.

There were excellent lectures on the value of affordable assisted reproductive techniques in Low and Middle Income Countries from Petra De Sutter, Marleen Temmerman, Willem Ombelet, Koen Vanmechelen, Guido Pennings and Piet Stinissen. The conclusion was that the time has come to start implementing low-cost IVF centres that take into account the needs of the local population and politicians.
