Prof. Geeta Nargund received the Inspirational Woman Award

On December 12th 2015, Walking Egg board member, Prof. Geeta Nargund, received the Inspirational Woman Award at the UK Women's Awards Ceremony at Landmark Hotel in London. She writes about the award: As regards to the projects in the UK, I have managed to convince the Local Government to start "Fertility Education" in secondary schools further to my letter to the UK Education Minister. We hope to start this in 12 London secondary schools in the new year on behalf of Create Health Foundation. I am trying to establish a "National Tariff" for IVF on the NHS to lower the price of IVF & put an upper limit to the price. This will increase accessibility to thousands more couples within the current budget. I have been invited to meet the Health Minister tomorrow. I am also trying to work with members of Parliament to work towards a "Welfare of Women's Act" to protect the safety of women in IVF. I am trying to get a Parliamentary debate in the new year.
